The BAQONDE project, in collaboration with the Language Departments of English and Spanish at the Faculty of Philology (USAL), Casa Africa, the Ramón Areces Foundation, ACE Sur de África, and other contributors, launched the African Languages Day (2023). This event advocated for maintaining a permanent communication bridge between Salamanca and Africa. With Senegal as the featured guest country, the importance of language and education remained at the core of our discussions, providing a sustainable avenue for fostering connections, promoting mutual understanding, sharing knowledge, maximizing dissemination and pursuing various other initiatives. In this second edition, there was a book and poster exhibition with a focus on the origin of language as well as African languages in particular.
